At our wine tasting and degustation this month, we will be exploring some outstanding wines that dare to be different. Andrew Azzopardi takes us through these spectacular wines matching the flavours of each wine with dishes prepared by our Head Chef David Giacomelli.

THE PALACE
Back in the 1700's, Palazzo Parisio started life as a hunting lodge, but the ambition and vision of the Parisio and Scicluna families saw its evolution into the exquisite Palazzo of today, complete with sumptuous mirrored gilded salons, lofty halls lined with Maltese and Italian art and frescoes, fine dining rooms and a dramatic marble staircase.
THE GARDENS
Blooms festoon manicured shrubs and hedges, while gnarled, twisted olive trees, citrus, cascading bougainvillea, towering palms and a canopy of deciduous leaves add shade to the limestone. The Italianate walled gardens, offer a kaleidoscope of colour and scent all year round from every corner of the world. Charming cobble pathways are flanked by greenery and link the ornate iron gates to the 18th century Orangery and grotto.
